Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. (Isaiah 55:2) The Bread of Life never expires, never goes stale. Preachers who come offering us some other gospel that is “newer” and “fresher” are handing out junk food at best, deadly poison at worst. Only the Bread of Life they falsely accuse of being stale and expired nourishes our souls. Watch out for cotton candy, feel good, fuzzy preaching and teaching that appeals to our appetites but lacks substance. TheRead More →

In 2016, when I originally posted this, I was recovering from second degree burns and had been rather ill from them all week. Pretty much everything suffered, with my poor, sweet husband having to pick up some of the slack for me. Closing his eyes, Dr. Victor Avner McGregor leaned back in the driver’s seat of his brand new 2093 Lexus family car. Without Henry remotely operating his vehicle, he’d have wrecked and killed his wife, too. Vic’s whole body ached. No. He wasn’t his son’s killer. This was all HaShem’s fault, if G-d wasn’t symbolic—and HaShem probably was. At least this way Alexander had gone gently to sleep in Mommy’s tummy. On second thought, HaShem could go pluck a duck. To think the joy of fatherhood hadRead More →
